Nor-Tech And FMO ‘Kicking 2020 To The Curb’ With 30th Anniversary Fun Run

Throughout 2021, Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats of Fort Myers, Fla., will be stepping up with events to celebrate its 30 years of business. The first such event will be as the title sponsor of the Fort Myers Offshore/Nor-Tech 30th Anniversary Fun Run on January 2 from the Sanibel Island Bridge to Marco Island for lunch at CJ’s On The Bay.

The event is one of two designated fundraisers for the entire 2020/2021 season for Fort Myers Offshore, a nonprofit organization that raises scholarship funds for deserving college- and technical school-bound students. Nor-Tech donated $3,000 to Fort Myers Offshore for the upcoming event and, in turn, was able to dovetail its 30th anniversary kick-off happening with the upcoming run.

“Nor-Tech has been a longtime time supporter of Fort Myers Offshore,” said Henrik Margård, the company’s vice-president of production. “Giving back is a very important part of what we do as a company.”

In addition to donating to the Fort Myers Offshore cause, Nor-Tech will be hosting a Friday evening cocktail party from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the gazebo area of the Westin Cape Coral Resort before the Saturday run. Margård is expecting an exceptional turnout of Nor-Tech customers for the Southwest Florida event.

“Being a Fort Myers Offshore member—or a Nor-Tech owner—is all you need to attend,” he said. “We want to kick 2020 to the curb starting with some good food and drinks, followed by a great time on the water for a great cause the next day.”
