Nor-Tech Continues Food And Mask Donation Commitment

Quick to action at the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic with in-house mask production and food collection by early April, Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Powerboats in Fort Myers, Fla., has continued and built on those efforts. Earlier this week, the company donated more than 1,500 pounds of collected food and 1,200 purchased KN95 PPE masks to the Cape Coral Caring Center.

With its recent donations to the Cape Coral Caring center, Nor-Tech is continuing its charitable efforts—and will continue them next year.

“So many people in our community have had a tough year” said Trond Schou, who co-founded the company with Nils Johnsen. “We all know 2020 has been a year full of challenges for everyone, but we look at it as a necessity to continue and grow our charitable donations.

“We have such a great group of employees that rally and support the many causes that we have contributed toward over that past few years” he added. “As well as our dealers and vendors that are willing to take our calls and donate without hesitation.”

The ongoing food and mask donation programs been supported in-house by the Nor-Tech team as well as dealers American Custom Marine, Bent Marine, Coral Marine, Double R Performance, Legend Marine Group, Midwest Boating Center. SoFlo Performance, Sportboats Marine and Tuppen’s Marine.

Nor-Tech also has committed to supporting its local Salvation Army Angel Tree program, which will serve 40 children. Schou said the company will continue its philanthropic efforts throughout this year and is already setting fundraising goals for 2021.

Said Schou, “It is so important to give back when you can. It keeps you humble and helps you realize how fortunate you are.”
