Scott Free Racing And B’laster Partner For APBA Offshore National Championship Series

One of the most consistent and cherished offshore powerboat racing teams, the Sarasota, Fla.-based Scott Free Racing team that will be racing in the Modified Vee class in the 2022 American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championship Series, announced this week that it has signed a new secondary partnership agreement with B’laster Holdings, which is known for its B’laster, AC Avalanche and Motor Honey brands.

Following up on a successful 2021 season—in November the father-and-son Boatfloater.com team of Steve and Stephen Kildahl won its first championship in Key West., Fla.—the team can’t wait to get back on the racecourse with a slightly new look this season.

“We are very excited to be able to represent the B’laster Holdings brands on the offshore circuit this year,” said Stephen Kildahl, Scott Free Racing’s vice president and driver. “Their products will help us on and off the racecourse and we look forward to educating and generating awareness about their brands throughout the season.”

The younger Kildahl said the team’s 29-foot Extreme V-bottom is going to feature a new wrap when the season kicks off in Cocoa Beach, Fla., May 19-22, during the first round of the 2022 APBA Offshore National Championship Series. He added that the team’s longtime sponsor—Boat Floater Industries—is returning as the primary partner along with STEEL-IT, Innovation Marine, Pacer Group, Sea-Dog Line and E-Z Up Shelters.

The well-known Boatfloater.com Extreme raceboat will have a different look when the 2022 season begins.

With a legacy dating back to 1957, the press release stated, B’laster Holdings’ success was founded on its flagship product, PB B’laster Penetrant. Today B’laster Holdings represents a strong portfolio of trusted automotive aftermarket brands that both professionals and do-it-yourselfers rely on to get the job done right.

“We are excited to partner with Scott Free Racing,” said Randy Pindor, president and CEO of B’laster Holdings. “The adrenaline-pumping excitement and winning spirit of powerboat racing matches the performance of our branded automotive products.”

According to Kildahl, the deal will allow branding on Scott Free Racing team assets with B’laster, AC Avalanche and Motor Honey along with creating unique video and social content to further activate within the avid boater fan base.
