Signed Wyland Prints Added To Speed On The Water Key West Bash Auction Items

When it comes to whimsical murals of sea-life, no artist/conservationist is more renowned than Robert Wyland, who has a home in the Florida Keys as well as residences and galleries in Hawaii and Southern California. And as anyone who’s ever been to Key West can attest, the 65-year-old artist is even more prolific with his smaller, framable creations from portraits to sketches.

Come for the party, stay for the auction, bid high and go home with a signed Robert Wyland print at tomorrow night’s Speed On The Water Key West Bash to benefit Samuel’s House at the Sandbar Sports Grill on Greene Street. Photo by Pete Boden copyright Shoot 2 Thrill Pix.

Thanks to generous supporters of Samuel’s House, a Key West-based emergency shelter for women and children and the beneficiary of the eighth annual Speed On The Water Key West Bash at the Sandbar Sports Grill, Wyland fans will have a chance to bid on two of his signed, limited-edition black-and-white prints this Thursday night during the celebration’s live auction.

Both prints are from 2005, framed and valued at $600. One depicts a “smiling dolphin.” It is print No. 412 of 750 created.

The other print (above) depicts “a whale mom swimming with her baby.” It is print No. 672 out of 750 produced.

Open to the public, the 2021 Speed On Water Key West Bash starts at 7 p.m. The auction will begin at approximately 8 p.m.
