Ryan Werner and the crew at Wake Effects were busy Wednesday getting ready for today’s opening day of the Overland Park Boat Show in Kansas. Not only did they have an array of MasterCraft models and Crest pontoons to get set up as they normally do, but this year the Osage Beach, Mo., dealership brought two MTI models—the company’s 52-foot catamaran and a customer’s MTI-V 42 center console—to the show, which runs from Jan. 7-10.

“We’re excited to do this show and be able to bring a couple of boats from our newest line,” said Werner, Wake Effects general manager and partner who is looking forward to the company’s first full year as an MTI dealer. Wake Effects signed on as MTI’s only Lake of the Ozarks dealer in August. “This is one of our favorite shows that the Lake of the Ozarks Marine Dealers Association organizes and it’s going to be cool to see what kind of attention the 52 MTI gets.”

Displayed on its tilt trailer, the Wake Effects 52 MTI is sure to be a showstopper.

According to Werner, the show is family friendly, easy to get to and provides tons of boats, personal watercraft and watersports equipment to fill a day of perusing. He added that Wake Effects has a mini pro shop equipped with clothing, life jackets, paddleboards, wakeboards and more.

Other peformance boat-related exhibitors at the show include Performance Boat CenterPoly Lift Boat LiftsMarine ConceptsAdvantage Marine and more.
