Sunsation 34CCX Delivered To Europe
Now at its full-time home in Mallorca, Spain, a Sunsation Boats 34CCX is the first center console delivery from the Algonac, Mich., performance center console builder to Europe—and the first model delivered by its new European dealer, Offshore Agency Prettin in Bremerhaven, Germany. The boat, which is powered by twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboard engines, arrived at the dealership on May 31.
According to Sunsation’s Germany-based dealer, this 34CCX is the first of many Sunsation center consoles that will be delivered to European buyers.
Clearing European Union Importation and Customs took four days. After the process was completed, the dealership loaded the 34-footer onto a flatbed truck and transported it 1,250 miles through Germany, France and Spain. As Mallorca is an island off Spain’s coast, a ferry transported the center console through the final leg of its journey.
“The boat was delivered on time last Saturday morning,” said Wilhelm Prettin, the president of Offshore Agency Prettin—dubbed Sunsationationboats Europe by the dealer—in a press release from Sunsation. “It was unloaded from the truck with the factory shrink wrapping completely intact and the boat in perfect condition.”
Prettin and accompanied the boat’s owner and friends during its first sea trial on the Mediterranean.
“We spent Saturday and all day Sunday on the water—totaling more than 100 miles,” Prettin said in the release. “All systems worked flawlessly, with no problems whatsoever. My customer absolutely loves the boat and was amazed by its responsive power and rock-steady handling.
“Our only issue was the weather,” he added. “We experienced a variety of constantly changing conditions from sunny smooth water to rain and chop, and even an incoming thunderstorm, which we easily outran back to port.”
According to Prettin, the 34CCX is the first of what will be many Sunsation center consoles delivered to buyers in Europe.
“I want to again thank Joe and Wayne Schaldenbrand, Kyle Miller and their fantastic team at Sunsation Boats for a job well done,” he said. Wilhelm. “This is only the first of many new Sunsation Boats that we plan to introduce here in the EU.”
