Teasers Tour To Wrap Up At Key West Home Base

The owner of Maryland Offshore Performance Marine Center, Andy Imof is amped about the upcoming Florida Powerboat Club Key West Poker Run, the final stop in the successful second-year “Teasers Tour.” That’s not just because the multi-stop tour features his 36-foot Skater Powerboats catamaran powered by two 1,100-hp engines built at his Rockville, Md., facility, but because it will wrap up in the hometown of his sponsor, Teasers Gentleman’s Club.

So Imof and Teasers owner Dave Johnson are throwing a party at the club on Thursday, November 10, starting at 9 p.m. The party will be open to be public and—after a $30 cover charge—drinks will be free till midnight.

“We also have big plans for Friday night, as the Teasers boat will be on Duval Street with the raceboats,” Imhof said. “And there will be a bar set up right next to our boat.”

Imhof added that it’s funny how many people he’s met traveling around the country who see the boat and say something like, “Teasers in Key West? I’ve been there—I had so much fun there.”

Based on their 2021 and 2022 Teasers Tours, Imof and company have had plenty of opportunity to meet people who’ve visited the famed Key West establishment. They kicked off this season with the Baltimore Harbor Poker Run before tackling the Tiki Lee’s Shootout On The River in Sparrows Point, Md., where they earned “Fastest On The River” honors with 138.3-mph pass on the three-quarter-mile course. They followed that up by participating in Thunder In The City, another Baltimore-based event, before heading to the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri.

At every “tour stop,” they were joined by Maryland Offshore Performance Marine Center customers.

Though Imhof had planned on making a pass or two on the Shootout course, a broken propeller that led to drive damage kept him out of the competition. But the boat was repaired in time for the sixth annual Waves And Wheels End of Summer Fun Run several weeks later.

The Key West stop will put an exclamation point on a successful season for Imof, who said he’s hoping people will come from the Speed On The Water “Racing To Rebuild” Key West Bash—at the nearby Sandbar Sports Grill—earlier that evening to the Teasers party.

“We can’t wait to celebrate the end of the Teasers Tour with everyone in Key West,” he said. “Beautiful boats and beautiful women—it seems to be a winning combination.”
