Texoma Throw Down Moves To Early August, Now Last Of Four Tornado Alley Poker Run Series Events

Following last week’s decision to postpone the Texoma Throw Down due to high water levels (read the story), lead organizer Casey Moore announced the news that the second-year event on Lake Texoma, which borders Oklahoma and Texas, was moving to early August.

Scheduled for August 8-10 and hosted at Marina Del Rey in Kingston, Okla., the Texoma Throw Down, which is organized by the Texoma Powerboat Association, is also part of the Tornado Alley Poker Run Series, which includes three other Texas-based events—the recently added Texas Outlaw Challenge (June 19-23) on Clear Lake and Galveston Bay, the Lone Star Thunder Run (July 13-14) hosted by the Lake Travis Powerboat Association on Lake Travis, and the Hell on Water Poker Run (July 27-27) hosted by the Possum Kingdom Muscle Boat Association on Possum Kingdom Lake.

“It’s kind of a neat deal going on with all of the events,” Moore said. “Not only do we help promote each other’s events, if someone participates in three of the four poker runs, they will be entered into a drawing for the chance to win a $2,000 cash prize.”

Visit the Tornado Alley Poker Run Series Facebook page for more participant information. According to the page participants will receive a souvenir challenge coin.
