The Firm Racing Snags MSP Recovery As Title Sponsor

Wasting no time since acquiring his Stock V-class 30-foot Activator raceboat late last month, The Firm Racing Group team owner Peter Riveiro has secured MSP Recovery—the country’s leading Medicaid and Medicare Secondary Payer Act Recovery Specialist” according to its website—as its title sponsor for the balance of the 2021 offshore racing season. The team will run as MSP Recovery, starting with the American Power Boat Association Offshore National Championship Series event, September 3-5, in St. Petersburg, Fla.

In addition to securing MSP Recovery as its title sponsor, The Firm Racing Group team now has Bruiser Conversions as a Platinum-level backer.

MSP Recovery is owned by Miami-based entrepreneur John Ruiz, who recently purchased Cigarette Racing Team in Opa-Locka, Fla., with Ophir Sternberg of Miami-headquartered Lionheart Capital. Ruiz and Riveiro are longtime friends.

“We’ve known each since we were 18 back at the University of Miami,” said Riveiro. “We boated together back then. John always had performance boats.”

In addition to securing MSP Recovery as its title sponsor, the team has snagged Bruiser Conversions— “the industry leader in fully integrated engine conversions for the Jeep Wrangler platform” according to its website—as a Platinum-level sponsor and Formula Sports Cars, Boat Depot and The Firm Realty Group as Gold-level sponsors.

“Bruiser is out of Clearwater (Fla.) so we intend to have a nice setup with them,” said Riveiro. “The St. Pete setup is going to be sick. We’re looking forward to it.

“Now it’s time to get to work,” he added.
