The Power of Nor-Tech

Between the Miami International Boat Show in February and last month’s Palm Beach International Boat Show, the last few months have been extremely busy at Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats. And with this week’s Tampa Bay Poker Run (April 10-13) and the upcoming Suncoast Boat Show in Sarasota (April 25-27), things don’t appear to be slowing down for the Cape Coral, Fla., builder any time soon.

But you won’t hear anyone at Nor-Tech complain. In fact it’s quite the opposite. After the company’s stunning 390 Open Sport center console with a trio of Seven Marine 557 engines attracted tons of eyeballs in Miami, the boat went back to Cape Coral for some finishing touches and was tested a day before it left for the Palm Beach show. The gunmetal-gray 39-footer received—deservedly so—tons of attention during the show (including my own story on speedonthewater.com) thanks to the hefty engine package and three custom-built motorcycles from Orange County Choppers alongside it.
