American Custom Marine Sees Record June For Nor-Tech Deliveries

A Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats dealer since 2012, American Custom Marine of Kimball Michigan delivered four new Nor-Tech center consoles last month. According to company principal Michael Knoblock, that’s an American Custom Marine record for Nor-Tech deliveries in June.

American Custom Marine’s June Nor-Tech deliveries include this vibrant 45-footer powered by quad Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines.

“They are usually a little more spread out than that,” he said, then laughed. “It’s been a little nuts around here since we re-opened.”

Though Knoblock and company delivered a 390 Sport Center Console powered by triple Mercury Racing 400R outboard engines to a longtime performance-boat enthusiast in Upstate New York, the other three center consoles went to clients in Michigan. A quad Mercury Racing 450R-powered 45-footer went to a customer—a Nor-Tech owner since 2012—in St. Clair. A 340 with triple Mercury Marine 350 Verado outboards now has a home with a first-time Nor-Tech owner in Traverse City. And a 390 set up with triple 400R outboards is now with a three-time Nor-Tech owner in Charlevoix.

The Nor-Tech delivery parade isn’t likely to slow down anytime soon for the full-service dealership. Knoblock and company have multiple orders in various stages of completion at the Fort Myers, Fla., high-performance center console, V-bottom sportboat and catamaran company, including a 39-foot currently being painted at Stephen Miles Design in Owensboro, Ky.

“In addition to the boat at SMD, I have two 450s being built,” said Knoblock. “I just sold a 34 and a guy is coming in today to finalize his order for 39. People are already calling about boats for next spring and Florida. It’s a little nuts right now, but it’s very good.”

Ordered through American Custom Marine, this 39-footer is the latest of several Nor-Techs painted by Stephen Miles Design.
