Back the King of Offshore
Late last night I received an email from a friend and colleague in the powerboat industry, John Potts of American Performance Media, informing me about a press release being sent out today regarding his first Kickstarter campaign. You may or not recall that I wrote a story last summer on speedonthewater.com (read it here) about a documentary Potts and his crew are producing on Reggie Fountain, the iconic boat racer and founder of Fountain Powerboats.
Well the documentary—dubbed “King of Offshore: The Reggie Fountain Story“—is nearly complete and American Performance Media announced this morning a Kickstarter campaign to help fund its potential national television broadcast schedule as well as cover some costs for the broadcast rights to some of the rarest historical footage and photographs from offshore racing’s glorious past.
