BBLADES To Announce New Products In Miami

Deep into a developing at least two new products to be announced at the 2020 Miami International Boat ShowBBLADES Professional Propellers principal Brett Anderson won’t be able to make it to Key West, Fla., next month for the Florida Powerboat Club Poker Run and Race World Offshore Key West Championships. Anderson, who said his Princeton, Wis., company has been “ripping it up” with custom propeller tuning and repair, declined to offer specifics on his new projects beyond that BBLADES will be adding all-new wheels in addition to its existing in-house propeller offerings.

“I don’t like to announce a product until we have it in hand or have it ready to produce,” he said. “But I think people will like what they see in Miami. In testing, the new products have been unbelievable according to the guys running them.

“Business has been good,” he added. “We’ve had to do some re-staffing and there’s always a learning curve there, but we’re humming along.”

Though Anderson won’t make it to Key West this year, BBLADES will be represented as he is donating lab-finishing for two propellers—a $900 to $1,400 value depending on the whether the props have four or five blades—for the live auction at the Speedonthewater/Offshoreonly Key West Bash Thursday, November 7, from at 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Sandbar Sports Grill.

“Last year, we did the props for the team that won the 300-mile Parker Enduro, and we’re working with them again this year,” said Anderson. “I’ve been going back and forth on going to Key West this year, but I really need to stay put and keep working to get ready for Miami.”
