The Sheep Dog Impact Assistance group issue the following statement this afternoon:

“Due to ongoing COVID-19 social distancing and gathering guidance, as well as the recent spike in confirmed cases in Arkansas, we made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 event and focus our efforts on making the 2021 Big Boat Bash even bigger and better than ever.”

Organizer Brian Buckminster of Siloam Springs, Ark., has been involved with the event since its inception. Buckminster said that though he’s disappointed the event had to be scrubbed he expects it to come back strong next year.

“We have been blessed with an amazing group of supporters and boaters every single year,” he said. “This event is special in its own little way and we plan to continue to build on that success in the future.”
