Bluave Making Boat Show Appearances in St. Louis this Week Followed by Miami

A little more than a year after debuting at the International Boatbuilders’ Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) in Tampa, Fla., Bluave Marine Audio is planning to make a splash at a couple of boat shows this month as well as other performance boating events throughout the 2018 season.

Opening today, the St. Louis Boat Show is the first stop for the Missouri-based Bluave team, which also includes members of the Waves and Wheels crew since both companies are owned by Justin Wagner.

Wagner shared a few images he shot Wednesday night while the Bluave display was being set up for the show. Surely the pics don’t do the booth (or the demo boat and off-road vehicle) justice, but it looks like the company’s little 12-foot demo boat is going to draw a ton of eyeballs—both in St. Louis and Miami.

Yes, Miami. After the St. Louis show the team is packing up and driving to South Floria to set up shop at the Miami International Boat Show—for the first time—and display the Bluave line of coaxials, subwoofers, sub enclosures and, new this year, amplifiers.

bluave 18boatshow2To highlight the entire array of Bluave products and a variety of the company’s partners, Wagner, who is always eyeing the next project, picked up a little 12-foot V-hull (he’s not sure what brand, if any, it is) a few weeks ago and went to work on creating a showstopper. Based on reaction from St. Louis today, the boat, which was wrapped by RH Signworks, and features Blue Seas SeaDek flooring and gauges and a steering wheel from Livorsi Marine.

“The 12-footer is basically a fun little boat that also serves as a great display for the Bluave product line,” said Wagner, who is thinking a 115-hp outboard engine should be a great fit when it comes time to power the boat. “And it’s easy to take with us and put on display, although we have less space in Miami so we’re still working on the booth layout.

“Whatever we end up doing, it’s going to be an attention-getting booth—it has to be because we’re right across from the water taxi lines,” he continued with a laugh. “We really do plan on having some entertainment for those waiting for the taxi lines each day. We’re going to take advantage of such a prominent position.”

In less than three weeks, the Waves and Wheels team took the 12-footer, which seats two and can be towed with the tricked-out Yamaha Viking side-by-side it’s on display with, from poor condition to a custom piece (click on images above to enlarge) with a cool interior and a mind-blowing eight-speaker and four-subwoofer stereo system that, according to Wagner, will rival the sound quality of any system his company has ever installed.

You can catch up with Wagner and the Bluave team at America’s Center & The Dome (booth 1522) through Sunday (Feb. 11) or at next week’s Miami International Boat Show (Feb. 15-19) in J Tent (booth J1519). Wagner said the team is also going to hit the road a little more this year to attend some trade shows and poker runs/fun runs with their mobile workshop/ display trailer.

“If you haven’t heard the Bluave sound, I’d advise you to stop by and listen to the product,” he said. “We’ll have Bluave product in a few of the boats on display in Miami, including a new one from Outerlimits that should be a highlight of the show. I’m looking forward to being a part of the Miami show. I think it could be a major milestone for Bluave.”
