Gallery of the Week: Greetings from Gilbert’s

How big is the Florida Powerboat Club’s annual Key West Poker Run? Big enough to have two departure dates. While the Thursday departure tradtionally attracts the largest fleet, Wednesday’s run from Miami to the nation’s southernmost city still pulls in plenty of great hardware.

Frequent speedonthewater.com contributing photographer Yvonne Aleman and her partner in crime Greg Harris, both of whom were instrumental in organizing tonight’s inaugural Speedonthewater.com/Offshoreonly.com Key West Bash at the Sandbar Sports Grill on Greene Street, popped by Gilbert’s Tiki Bar in Key Largo yesterday to catch the fleet during its time-honored lunch spot. And of course, Aleman captured some stunning images of the hardware and people involved.
