Image Of The Week: Cigarette Tirranna In Action

During the Miami International Boat Show earlier this month, Cigarette’s Racing Team’s Tirranna—a sport yacht/super console hybrid powered by six Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboard engines—didn’t move. That’s because the spectacular 59-footer was dock-locked in the Opa-locka, Fla., sportboat and center console builder’s Tirranna Boathouse display. In fact, only the Cigarette AMG 41 Carbon Fiber Edition, was set up outside the Cigarette exhibit and could strut its stuff on Biscayne Bay during the show.

No matter. During the Florida Powerboat Club’s Miami Boat Show Poker Run to Key Largo late this week, Tirranna joined the 40-plus-boat fleet and gave onlookers a great show. Not the least of those was speedonthewater.com chief photographer Pete Boden, who captured the boat from one of his favorite bridge perches above the Intracoastal Waterway.

Like many of you, we’re looking forward to seeing a lot more of Tirranna in action. But for now, just catching the boat on its first poker run will have to do.
