Image of the Week: Unlimited Color

Captured in Friday’s second race during the 2015 Super Boat International Offshore World Championships in Key West, Fla., this stunner comes from Southern California-based photographer Erick Bryner of Firedrill Productions. A frequent contributor to speedonthewater.com and its bi-monthly digital magazine, Bryner shot that day from the Fury, a well-known and popular “spectator-viewing” catamaran, rather than the turn boat.

“I like this angle because you can see the spectators, which I always love including to give the shot context,” said Bryner, whose work also is featured in the 132-page 2015 Speed On The Water Year In Review print magazine, which shipped this week. “I love watching the fans watch the races. They just go nuts. So when you can capture them in a shot like this, you can see why.”

We couldn’t agree more, Erick Bryner, and we look forward to publishing more of your work—from Desert Storm to the SBI Key West Worlds—this year.
