Iowa-Based Owners Take Delivery Of Vibrant Mystic M4200

Last weekend’s massive fleet on the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri grew by at least one boat with the delivery of a new Mystic Powerboats M4200 luxury center console. Alan and Lisa Hagie, the boat’s Iowa-based owners, met with Greg Weber, the DeLand, Fla., center console and catamaran company’s director of sales and dealer development last Saturday morning to take delivery of the 42-footer at the popular waterway, where they have a waterfront vacation home.

With the delivery of this M4200 last Saturday to Alan and Lisa Hagie, another Mystic center console joined the permanent Lake of the Ozarks fleet.

“It’s a great-looking boat and the owners are wonderful people,” Weber said. “Deliveries are fun when they’re like that.”

Though they owned a few small powerboats that they ran on small lakes in Iowa, the Hagies consider the M4200 their first “real boat.” They finished their lake house last summer and went boatless for the season, but knew they wanted something big enough to handle the chronically confused waters of the Lake of the Ozarks this summer.

“We decided a center console was the way to go,” said Alan Hagie, a 52-year-old crop-spraying equipment company owner. “We really liked the Mystic—the way the hardtop was connected and more—and we wanted something that could handle the Lake of the Ozarks on a busy weekend. My wife wanted to be comfortable and I wanted to go fast.

The owners consider their new Mystic M4200 their first “real boat.”

“I did like working factory-direct with Mystic as they don’t have a dealer at the lake,” he continued. “Our company works factory-direct, and I love it. Working with John Cosker and Greg Weber was fantastic.”

Mystic M4200 hull No. 51, the boat is powered by triple Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines with Mercury Joystick control. The buyers ordered it with a custom color package created and applied by painter Doug Harrell, who handles graphics for all of the company’s new builds.

Though the boat reportedly tops 82 mph, Hagie has so far run it to 75 mph. “I really love the combination of the 450 outboards and the Joystick control,” he said.
