The Marine Technology Inc. (MTI) crew opted to make the most out of the Miami Boat Show Poker Run this year and include an MTI-only fun run to a secret lunch destination on Saturday. So with 12 boats in formation and more than 40 people along for the ride, the MTI fleet ventured 30-plus miles from Postcard Inn at Holiday Isle in Islamorada to The Island Fish Company in Marathon for a relaxing lunch.

Tim Gallagher, MTI’s sales and marketing director, sent speedonthewater.com pictures after a scouting run he and two dozen other people did on Friday afternoon in two of the company’s 42-foot center consoles to make sure the location could accommodate 10 or more offshore cats.

Gallagher said he called Luk Fuel in Fort Lauderdale to have a truck sent down to refuel many of the participants’ boats as they only accounted for enough fuel to get from Miami to Islamorada and back. MTIs or not, Gallagher said everyone seemed to be having a great time at the Florida Powerboat Club event.

Below are several photos (click to enlarge) Gallagher provided from Saturday’s MTI lunch run to Island Fish Company.
