MTI ‘Super Veloce G7’ at Super Cat Fest and Shootout

Marine Technology, Inc., catamaran fans attending Super Cat Fest at the Camden On The Lake Resort and the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri will get a firsthand chance to check out one of the company’s best known and most recent theme boats in the form of Super Veloce G7, a Lamborghini-sportscar-inspired 52-footer powered by a pair of Mercury Racing 1550/1350 engines. Owned by Gino Gargiulo, the catamaran reportedly will top 180-plus mph.

The catamaran is Gargiulo’s second Lamborghini-themed MTI. The owner announced his plans to sell the cat—and it remains for sale at $1.2 million—after MTI dealer Larry Goldman, his longtime friend and powerboating concierge, died earlier this year.

“Larry and I had planned on going to Super Cat Fest together before he died,” said Gargiulo. “Now I’m going with a few friends. Tim Gallagher at MTI set up everything for us. But the boat is still for sale.”

In addition to being at the Camden on the Lake Resort docks this weekend for Super Cat Fest, Gargiulo’s one-of-a-kind 52-foot creation will be on display at tonight’s Shootout On The Strip Meet And Greet street party and powerboat display sponsored by Waves and Wheels from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Bagnell Dam Boulevard.
