New M31 A Scene-Stealer At DCB Regatta

By most accounts on social media, last weekend’s DCB Performance Boats Owners Regatta was among the best in the 21-year history of the event. The El Cajon, Calif., custom high-performance catamaran and V-bottom builder’s regatta attracted 73 boats and a mix of approximately 345 DCB owners and their guests.

Among those owners was a couple from the Rancho Santa Fe area in Southern California, and they took delivery of an immaculate new M31 catamaran powered by Mercury Racing 1100 engines with M8 drives. As noted in an advance story on the event last week, the 31-footer is the couple’s third DCB model.

With a list price of $710,000, the vacuum-infused, hull-and-deck-capped catamaran was dressed to impress with features including a full Alcantara interior with color-matched carpet for its six-person cockpit, Simrad Evo3 touch-screen monitors and a Garmin 7612 GPS chartplotter integrated with C-Zone operational system, Garmin VIRB cameras, a Phase III stereo and a full intercom system, interior and exterior Rigid LED lighting systems, Shadow Caster underwater LED lighting and more.

This M31 is the owner’s second DCB catamaran.

The boat also came with a custom triple-axle trailer from Adrenaline Trailers equipped with 20-inch FUEL rims, stainless-steel fenders and a triangular drive guard.

“The regatta was fantastic,” said Jeff Johnston, the president of DCB. “And the newest M31 definitely turned heads, which is saying a lot given all the great DCB models that made it. As I’ve said before, we have the best customers in the world.”
