Video And Images From The Waves And Wheels Fun Run At Lake Of The Ozarks

Thanks to a loyal group of customers, partners and team members, last weekend’s second annual Waves and Wheels Fun Run in Missouri was fun, easy going and memorable for Justin Wagner and the crew behind the recently opened The Boardwalk at Waves and Wheels located at mile marker 26 on Lake of the Ozarks.

Between 30-plus boats on hand and a full-fledge vehicle show—complete with awards—in the facility’s lower parking lot featuring classics cars, off-road vehicles, tow vehicles and more, Saturday’s fun run to Backwater Jacks and Camden on the Lake Resort went off without a hitch with great weather and a high-spirited group of attendees.

“I can’t say enough about the support we received at this year’s Waves and Wheels Fun Run,” said Wagner, who also owns Bluave Marine Audio. “I owe a big thank you to all of the participants who came to our run—we were blown away by the turnout. The weather certainly helped. I also have to thank a bunch of people for their support, including Andrew Imhof of Maryland Offshore Performance Marine Center, Backwater Jacks, Camden on the Lake, Speedonthewater.com, Jim Davis, Shawn Kober, Mike Otis, Doyle Kirchner, Alex Haslag and more.”

Wagner, who expects the run to continue to grow next year as the completely renovated The Boardwalk at Waves and Wheels becomes more established on the lake, also thanked his wife, Cicely, for her support. He also thanked the customers who helped put on the custom boat and car show and walked away with a few awards.

In the Best Sound System category, Eric Ross took home the first-place trophy in his custom Dragon Powerboats V-bottom, while Corey Famula took second in his Regal cruiser. The best boat interior award also went to Ross’s Dragon with Tony Phillips finishing a close second with his 29-foot Profile.

The award for best overall boat went to Todd Crossley and his 44-foot MTI, which edged out Ross’ Dragon and Phillips’ Profile. In the best car/truck category, there was a tie between Crossley’s Bronco and Wagner’s Chevelle. And in the best off-road category Imhof’s Can-Am earned the top award.

Wagner promised even more fun at next year’s run and added a reminder to anyone who is interested in a winter project to reach out soon as a lot of the company’s space already has been filled.
