Nor-Tech Showing Up In Force At Fort Lauderdale

Of the several high-performance powerboats builders exhibiting at the 2019 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show next week, Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats will have the largest presence. The builder is showcasing six boats and more at the Southwest Florida event, which runs October 30 through November 3.

The company will exhibit at 340 Sport Center console powered by triple Mercury Marine 350 Verado outboards, a pair of 390 Sport Center Consoles—one with a trio of Mercury Racing 450R outboards and another with quad 450Rs—and a 450 Sport Center console with four 450R outboards. The 45-footer reportedly was Mercury Racing’s first test bed for the supercharged V-8 outboards.

Inside the show’s convention center, Nor-Tech will show off a special angling-edition of its 340 model powered by triple Mercury Marine Verado 350 outboards and a 392 SuperFish with four Mercury Racing 400R outboards. The Nor-Tech exhibit (booth #2000) also will feature a complete apparel display.

In addition to the Nor-Tech factory team of company owner Trond Schou, Henrik Margård, Cindi Trombley, Kevin Lane and Geoff Tomlinson, the company will be represented in Fort Lauderdale by all 12 of its dealers and several Florida Powerboat Club hostesses.

“The past two years at FLIBS have been very successful shows for us,” said Tomlinson, Nor-Tech’s dealer manager. “Both years have resulted in double digit orders at the show with deposits.”

In conjunction with Mercury Racing, Garmin and JL Audio, Nor-Tech is hosting an invitation only dock party on the opening night of the show.
