Optimistic Livorsi Marine Excited to Show Off New Product in Miami

At the 2015 Miami International Boat ShowLivorsi Marine showed off its new billet hydraulic trim tabs. A year later, at next month’s relocated Miami show (Feb. 11-15), Mike Livorsi and company will have some new twists to share regarding the tabs, which are built from CNC machined billet aluminum and are hard coat anodized then topped with a powder coat finish and five anodes to prevent corrosion.

Several of Livorsi Marine’s private-labeled trim tabs will be featured on boats throughout the Miami International Boat Show.

“For the new tabs we now offer 11 powder coat colors and the option for private labeling, which has been well received,” said Livorsi who founded the Grayslake, Ill., company that was purchased by CompX Marine—along with Custom Marine Inc.—in 2006. “Along with a variety of gauges, indicators and more, we will have some trim tab examples on display and we’ll be showcasing our soon-to-released trim tab mount for Garmin’s Panoptix PS30 Down Transducer.”

Defined as “an all-seeing sonar, “ Panoptix gives you the ability to see all around your boat in real time. Livorsi, who described the Garmin system as impressive, said that the patented tab mounts should provide additional options for camera and LED light installation.

“Overall we’re excited for the show,” he continued. “We’re not sure what to expect with the new location, but hopefully the change will generate some serious excitement. The show was at the convention center for so long that I think people are ready for a change.”“Our display, which is in the same area (Booth E343) as the engine companies, also will have new designs for our sidemount controls—both the digital and mechanical versions—and for our DTS controls,” Livorsi said. “We expect a lot of interest in our more accurate GPS speedometers featuring new GPS antennas that update 10 times per second and resettable trip odometers.
