Performance Boat Center Becomes Latest Sunsation Dealer

To complement its lineup of pre-owned performance boats and new models from Cigarette Racing Team and Statement Marine, Performance Boat Center in Osage Beach, Mo., completed a deal during the Miami International Boat Show to become a dealer for Sunsation Boats.

Missouri’s Performance Boat Center became an official dealer of Sunsation Boats at the Miami International Boat Show.

“We wanted a sportboat that was more mainstream and a little more inviting to the introductory customers,” said Performance Boat Center’s Brett Manire, who already placed an order for a 36-footer with Mercury Racing 565 engines. “The smallest Cigarette we stock is a 38 Top Gun with twin 565s—and that’s $400,000 and up. With Sunsation’s line, I feel we can get more people into boating at a lower cost.

“Sunsation is a great fit for us especially since they just recently opened up in our area,” Manire continued. “We’re going to focus on the sportboat line for now—if someone wants one of Sunsation’s center consoles we can make it happen, but I really think there’s a good market for the company’s 28-, 32- and 36-foot models.”

All of the owners of Sunsation in Algonac, Mich., are excited about the exposure Performance Boat Center will provide the company at Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks.

Between different discussions in Miami with Jared Morris, who owns a home at Lake of the Ozarks, and brothers Joe and Wayne Schaldenbrand, all three of them can’t wait to see what progresses with Manire and the crew at Performance Boat Center.
