Renegade Powerboats Commands Attention At Lake Of The Ozarks

It’s safe to say that Renegade Powerboats’ Manny Oses and Bernadette Pichardo will be visiting Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks again in the near future after the experience they had during the 32nd annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout a couple of weeks ago. It was the first time the Hialeah, Fla.-based performance center console manufacturer had a presence at the event, and the company made the most of it, showing off its latest triple Mercury Racing Verado 400R-powered 38-footer at the lake with help from Renegade’s newest dealer, Marine Concepts Motorsports, and hosting a Friday evening dinner for current owners and potential new ones.

“Lake of the Ozarks is a really nice place with so many nice people,” said Oses, who runs the family owned and operated business that was founded in 1997. “The people there are extremely passionate about boating—and partying. We enjoyed hanging out with new clients and meeting several more potential buyers, a couple of whom gave us deposits on new orders. We also had fun running from place to place on the lake demonstrating the boat’s performance and showing off its quality at the docks.”

Currently the largest boat in the company’s lineup, which includes 30-, 32- and 33-foot models, the attractive blue and white 38’ Open that Renegade displayed during the Wednesday evening Shootout on the Strip presented by Waves and Wheels and brought to the Thursday morning speeedonthewater.com photo shoot was well-received at the lake, Oses said.

Oses also added that, by early next year, the 38-footer, which is available in an open and a cuddy version, is going to be the second-largest boat offered by the South Florida builder as Renegade is getting closer to completing its first 42-foot center console.

“We recently finished the hull for the new 42 and we’re working on the center console and the hardtop right now,” said Oses, who added that a portion of the company’s focus is on developing high-quality, durable 38-foot patrol boats for special operations, homeland security, law enforcement and work boat environments. “We’re excited about the 42, it’s going to be an incredible boat. We’ve had a lot of interest in it already.”

Oses revisited his experience at Lake of the Ozarks, calling the popular waterway very impressive.

“We feel like the lake can be a strong market for us and we’re excited to have Randy Kent and the team at Marine Concept Motorsports representing the brand at the lake and beyond,” he said. “This is an exciting time for us right now.”
