Founded by Jay Pilini in Clearwater, Fla., Spectre Offshore is focusing on the entry-level powerboat market with both a sportboat and a utility boat.

On the sportboat side is the company’s 15SS. The sleek 15-footer seats four and is rated for the outboard engines up to 85 hp. The flashy model features a polyflake gelcoat finish.

For utility-minded buyers, the builder has created CV15 Sport Skiff. The 15-footer boasts the unusual feature of clear polycarbonate panels in the sole so occupants can view the waters and sea life below them. It is rated for outboard engines up to 50 hp.

“Each year we continue to improve the performance characteristics and styling of our boats, building on our reputation as a manufacturer who puts a lot of emphasis on quality and overall value,” said Pilini in a press release. “These two new offerings are perfect for the new boating environment.”

According to the release, Spectre Offshore also is tooling a 33-foot catamaran that will be offered in Sport, Fish and “SUV” configurations.
