To follow up the introduction of its 34 CCX (Center Cabin Xtreme) at the 2013 Miami International Boat ShowSunsation Boats is bringing its brand new 29 CCX model to the show next month. The brothers behind Sunsation—Joe and Wayne Schaldenbrand, who both took the day off tomorrow to ride snowmobiles while the getting is good—know they have a lot of work ahead as the hull has been removed from the mold and is awaiting the deck, which is currently in lamination and will be pulled from the mold next week.

The boat, which will be on display at the in-water portion of the show in the Mercury Racing area of the Sea Isle Marina docks, is being powered with the company’s base engine package—a pair of Mercury Verado 150 outboards.

“We’re going for the price point this year, we’re doing the opposite of what we normally do for Miami,” said Joe Schaldenbrand, who called the 29 CCX more of an entry-level model and wanted the first one to be powered accordingly to entice first-time buyers. “We’re still going to pull out all of the stops—we always do. It’s going to be down to the wire like it normally is, too. We can’t wait to show off the 29.”

Sunsation, which is based in Algonac, Mich., will have a 34 CCX with triple Mercury Verado 300 engines on display and available for demo rides in the dock next to the 29 CCX. The company also announced a show special it’s offering in conjunction with longtime dealer Mitch Kaplan and the team at Captain’s Choice Boats in Fort Walton Beach, Fla.

From now through the end of February, Captain’s Choice is offering special boat show pricing on all new and certified pre-owned Sunsation Boats in stock. The dealership currently has 11 Sunsation models on display and welcomes anyone to visit the shop on their way to or from the Miami show. In fact, they will provide a free night of accomodations for anyone interested. To learn more about the boat show special, contact Mitch Kaplan of Captain’s Choice at 850-862-9111.
