Super Cat Fest Update: Upgraded Camden On The Lake Resort Gearing Up

Sold out well in advance for the upcoming Super Cat Fest Aug. 24-27 at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri, the Camden On The Lake Resort has been continuing to improve the overall hospitality experience for its guests, according to representatives of the waterfront property. Among several cosmetic enhancements made by the resort, all of the guest rooms were repainted in the off-season this year.

Repeat Super Cat Fest participants and spectators staying at Camden On The Lake Resort immediately will notice that the former Frisky Frog Bar & Grill restaurant and bar overlooking the lake has been replaced with Toad Island, a Caribbean-theme casual dining restaurant and bar that opened in May. The hotel also has added Toad Island Pizza adjacent to it swimming pool area, which will deliver pizzas to boats docked in the marina as well as to poolside guests.

The new additions and changes to the venue are part of a larger push for improvement that began in December 2016 with the hiring of new general manager Bryan Drew and food and beverage director Anthony Rootham. Both are “seasoned professionals and industry experts,” according to a press release from the resort.

“We have been the newest resort on the water at the lake for a number of years now, but continuous improvements are important for us to stay on top,” said Nicole Kever Torres, the hotel’s director of sales and marketing. “Do we think that we have good customer service and a good product? Certainly. But we can always improve.”
