Weber Named Director Of Mystic Powerboats Sales And Dealer Development

High-performance powerboat marine industry veteran Greg Weber has taken the position of director of sales and dealer development for Mystic Powerboats in DeLand, Fla. Weber, who is based in Chicago, has been closely involved with model sales for Mystic since the company introduced its M4200 luxury center console during the 2015 Miami International Boat Show.

“I’ll be at the Mystic factory at least once a month, as well as traveling to different parts of the country to set up dealers,” said Weber, who with Cosker will display a new M4200, the first M3800 and a C4400—Chad Collier’s well-known Habitual catamaran—at the upcoming Miami International Boat Show next week. “We don’t have a dealer network set up yet, so in Miami I’ll be selling to retail customers.

“Our goal is, in very short order, to have dealers set up in key market areas around the country,” he added. “Domestic sales will run through those dealers. We probably will continue to keep all international sales coming from the factory.”

Weber said that response from potential dealers has been strong since speedothewater.com first reported Mystic’s dealer network plans.

“It’s been overwhelming, to say the least,” he said. “Since the story went live, John has received phone calls from potential dealers across the country. Right now, we’re in discussions with several strong potential dealers and as they come on board we’ll be making announcements accordingly.

“When everything is said and done, we’ll have six center consoles in our line-up,” he added.
