With A 2,700-HP 36 Speedster Coming, Eliminator Rockin’ and Rollin’ with New Builds

When Jake Fraleigh of Eliminator Custom Boats said the Mira Loma, Calif., company had some cool projects in store leading up to its 50th anniversary, he wasn’t kidding. While there are a couple of new builds coming up that are still “top secret,” Fraleigh did share the news that there are currently a dozen new boats in production at the factory.

A new Eliminator Boats 36 Speedster with twin Mercury Racing 1350/1100 engines is currently in production.

Fraleigh said the 36-footer, which is getting a custom bustle to give the catamaran a walk-off transom, is currently in lamination and is expected to be finished in April in time for the Desert Storm Poker Run in Lake Havasu City, Ariz.

Fraleigh said there’s another 36 Speedster in the works, too, and that the customer is going in a different direction with twin Mercury Racing Verado 400R engines. The 36-foot cat isn’t the only boat Eliminator has going with Verado 400Rs—there is a 28 Speedster coming down the line with the 400-hp outboard engines. There’s also a 28 Speedster being built with twin Mercury Racing 600SCi engines as well as 28 Fundeck model with a single 600-hp Mercury engine.

In the 27-foot range, Eliminator has four boats in the works—a 27 Speedster with a 1,200-hp 540-cubic-inch engine, a 27 Speedster with a Teague Custom Marine 825EFI engine, a 27 Speedster with a 600SCi engine and a 27 Daytona with a Mercury Racing 540 engine.

Last but not least, there is a 220 Eagle XP being powered by a MerCruiser 8.2 Mag engine that should be finished soon.

“We’re coming back in a big way,” Fraleigh said. “Between everything we have in production at the moment and all of the steps we’ve been taking to ensure Eliminator is in a good position for its next 50 years, we’ve been very busy around here.”
