Big Thunder Marine Showcasing New Fountains And Donzi At Shootout On The Strip

In what has become one of the most popular elements of the annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri, tonight’s Shootout On The Strip sponsored by Waves and Wheels showcases top-flight powerboat hardware and more. And thanks to Big Thunder Marine of Osage Beach, Mo., fans of the Fountain and Donzi brands will have plenty of eye-candy to ogle.

Fountain fans can check out the latest 34 Thunder Cat at tonight’s Shootout On The Strip exhibit.

On the Fountain side, Big Thunder’s display will include new 38- and 34-foot Sport Consoles powered by Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines, a like-powered 43 NXS center console and a sleek new 34 Thundercat. As for Donzi, the multi-brand, full-service dealership ship will showcase a new 38 ZRC sportboat with a full wraparound windshield.

“We are always excited for Shootout week,” said Jeremy Anderson, the general manager of Big Thunder Marine. “A lot of our customers who we’ve sold boats to outside of the area come here for this week and there are so many people in town It’s great for all the local business and charities that the Shootout supports.”

Big Thunder Marine will have three vibrant new Fountain center consoles on display.

Though Big Thunder Marine isn’t fielding a boat in this weekend’s top-speed competition on the three-quarter-mile Lake of the Ozarks course, the dealership will have a couple of well-known Shootout boats in this evening’s display. Ben Robertson, Jr., will be there with his Swedish client’s Fountain 42 Lighting powered by Mercury Racing 1550/1350 engines. So, too, will Chad Prater with his Baja 35 Outlaw—popularly known as “the world’s fastest Baja”—with twin 900-hp supercharged engines. (During the 2017 Lake of the Ozarks Shootout, Prater piloted the 35-footer to 117 mph in one of most flawless passes of the event.)

Said Anderson, “We aren’t racing anything ourselves this year but we are here to support those who are.”

Donzi 38 ZRC fans won’t want to miss the latest 38-footer with a full wraparound windshield.
