Image Of The Week: Three Uniquely Configured 44-Foot Concept Center Consoles In Formation

If you’re a fan of speedonthewater.com, you know that we love any well-done boat-formation running shots. Well, thanks to the talented Florida Powerboat Club photographers as well as the enthusiastic, Miami-based crew at Concept Boats, we’ve got another one to share.

This picture, which was taken during the FPC’s Miami Boat Show Poker Run to Key Largo, Fla., a few weeks back, is particularly cool because, according to Concept’s vice president Eric Avila, it showcases the company’s 44-foot luxury performance center console with the three different configurations the builder offers.

“We had a great time at the poker run and got a lot of exposure,” Avila said. “Stu (Jones) and the FPC team are always well-organized and they pulled off another awesome event. We had the three 44s as well as two 39s and a 36. We didn’t sell any boats during the run but we got a lot of leads.”

Avila was grateful that the FPC team captured the three 44s in action.

“It’s cool to see the three different options of our largest model running together like that,” he added. “You’ve got the 44′ Cabin in the foreground with a 44′ Open next to it and the 44′ Sport Cabin model on the other side. I think we’re the only company that offers three deck configurations in this size and category and size.”

Powered by quad Mercury Racing engines, the 44′ Cabin is owned by Miami’s Jorge Perez. The other boats are owned by Sam Nehme of South Florida’s Broward Motorsports—his 44′ Open also has four 400Rs engines—and Dawn Hadden of South Carolina. Hadden’s gorgeous 44 Sport Cabin, which is powered by four of Mercury Racing’s 450R engines, was featured in the Speed On The Water 2021 Year In Review magazine that you can purchase here.

A cool picture, no doubt, and definitely not the last time we’ll see one like it.
