Midnight Express Going Small, Medium And Large For FPC Miami Boat Show Exhibit

A longtime, loyal supporter of the Florida Powerboat Club, Miami-based Midnight Express currently offers six models from 34 to 60 feet in its stellar high-performance center console line. And the company is bringing three of them to display during the FPC Miami Boat Show Poker Run Exhibit next month at Gilbert’s Resort in Key Largo.

“They intend to display a brand-new 37-footer with Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines that belongs to a club member,” said Stu Jones, the FPC’s owner and founder. “They’re also bringing a brand-new 43 Open model that belongs to club member David Landsman of Maryland, a loyal Midnight owner.”

But the most likely, on-the-water showstopper for the Midnight Express during the poker run and exhibit, which runs from February 18-21, will be the 60 Pied-A-Mer, the largest model the builder currently offers.

“They are just waiting for the owners’ approval but they are certain it will be there,” said Jones.

Prior to the Miami Boat Show event, Jones and company are producing the club’s annual Winter Poker Run to the Faro Blanco Resort and Yacht Club, February 22-24, in the mid-Florida Keys. The fleet will stop at Gilbert’s Resort on the way to its final destination.

Said Jones, “We’re not looking for the Winter Poker Run to set any records. We’ll probably end up with 30 boats, which is on par with past years and exactly what we intend it to be.”
