New SOTW Digital Magazine: Outerlimits SC 37 Cat, Multi-Outboard Setup Tips, Team Woody Spotlight And More

With beautiful Key West-shot photographs of the very first Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats SC 37 leading the way—not to mention insight on the company’s entrance into the outboard engine-powered sport catamaran game—the latest Speed On The Water digital magazine is now available to download.

Beyond the spotlight on the twin Mercury Racing 450R-powered 37-footer, which happed to be part of the Florida Powerboat Club’s season-ending Key West Poker Run that is also highlighted in the magazine alongside the Race World Offshore-produced American Power Boat Association Offshore World Championships, the new issue features a closer look at one of the original performance center-console builders, Midnight Express Boats, and how the company continues to raise the bar in the segment.

The magazine also includes an informative perspective on the setup techniques that go into boats with four, five and even six outboard engines. The same author of that story—Speedonthewater.com editorial team member Eric Colby—handled a story on the ever-growing Texas-based offshore racing team, Team Woody. Guided by the enthusiastic Billy Shipley and Chad Woody, Team Woody has more boats in its fleet than some classes, and it’s having more fun, too.

Providing some perspective on what’s ahead, Grant Bruggemann of Grant’s Signature Racing discusses his expectations heading into the 2022 season and the latest On Scene sections look back on a couple of Florida winter events—the Toys Tour and the Joey Gratton Memorial New Year’s Day Fun Run.
