Outerlimits Lunch Run And Borden Light Charity Poker Run On Deck

Celebrating its 16th anniversary this year, this weekend’s Borden Light Marina Charity Poker in Fall River, Mass., has a new wrinkle this year thanks to Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats. The Bristol, R.I., custom high-performance V-bottom and catamaran builder has organized a lunch run for Friday in advance of Saturday’s multi-stop poker run.

The plan is for Outerlimits owners to “blast around” Naragansett Bay before heading to the famed Tipsy Seagull restaurant, which is on-site and the Borden Light Marina facility, for lunch.

“It’s just going to be a nice, casual lunch run for Outerlimits clients in town for the poker run,” said Dan Kleitz, the national sales manager for Outerlimits. “Our full factory fun run will be returning next year.”

Boat storage at the Outerlimits facility is free for owners in town for the weekend. Would-be participants should contact Outerlimits directly.

Registration is still open for the Borden Light Marina run, which has raised money for several charities during the years. In 2021, the event raised $43,000 for Make-A-Wish of Massachusetts and Rhode Island and granted four wishes for children battling severe illness. This year’s event will once again benefit the Make-A-Wish organization, as well as the Tunnels To Towers Foundation, which provides financial support to families of first-responders and veterans.

The Borden Light Marina and the Tipsy Seagull restaurant will be hopping this weekend.
