Performance Boat Center Adding Velocity 290 SC To Miami Display

With the recent addition of the Velocity Powerboats sportboat line to its offerings, Performance Boat Center will have a molten-orange 290 SC model to exhibit at the Miami International Boat Show, which opens one week from today. The 29-footer will be in the multi-brand, Osage Beach, Mo.-headquartered dealership’s display at Sea Isle Marina and Yachting Center.

Painted by Stephen Miles Design, this Velocity 290 SC will be a key element of the Performance Boat Center in the Miami Convention Center new week. Photos by Walter Braithwaite, Jr., courtesy/copyright Velocity Powerboats.

Powered by twin Mercury Racing 400R outboard engines, the boat boasts an eye-catching paintjob from Stephen Miles Design in Owensboro, Ky.

“I’m extremely excited for this year’s Miami Boat Show,” said Brett Manire of Performance Boat Center. “With Cigarette, MTI, Sunsation, Wright Performance and now Velocity we have the complete line-up—no matter what our current and future customers are looking for.”

The 290 SC is one of nine offerings in Velocity’s Performance series of sportboats from 22 to 43 feet long. In March 2021, a 29-footer powered by a pair of Mercury Racing’s supercharged 400-hp six-cylinder outboards topped 104 mph at Lake X, the Fond du Lac, Wis., high-performance marine engine company’s testing facility in St. Cloud, Fla.

Adding Velocity has given Performance Boat Center yet another established brand in its powerboat arsenal.
