Sneak Peek: First Wright Performance 320 Catamaran At Performance Boat Center

Though thousands of party guests likely wandered by the new Wright Performance 320 sport catamaran on Thursday afternoon before the annual Performance Boat Center Lake of the Ozarks Shootout Welcome Celebration, there’s a good chance they missed it in the sea of outrageous go-fast powerboat hardware at the Osage Beach, Mo., dealership. But the 32-footer is as significant as anything in town for Shootout week in that it adds another option to the Performance Boat Center/Doug Wright line of catamaran collaborations, which includes 36- and 42-footers.

In essence, Performance Boat Center has created its own successful—key word—catamaran brand in less than five years.

“The 320 is a great addition,” said Mark Waddington, who co-owns Performance Boat Center with Brett Manire. “We have orders and we’re working to increase production.”

The first Wright Performance 320 is powered by Mercury Racing 300R outboard engines. Top speed for the six-seater, as reported in a prior speedonthewater.com article, is expected to be approximately 115 mph.
