Unlock The Lake Of The Ozarks With The Get Down Guide

Even for connected locals such as Swift and Co. real estate agent Nikki Sorenson, keeping up with the nightlife, entertainment and essential happenings on and off the water at the Lake of the Ozarks is a dizzying challenge. When the boating season kicks off—and that season gets longer each year—there’s something fun happening every night on the shores of the Central Missouri waterway. And with the ongoing migration of high-performance powerboat fans to the area, the social scene is only growing. Make that blowing up.

For the past nine years, the Swift and Co.-produced “Get Down Guide”—available in print and digital versions—has been a flashlight of sorts for the Lake of the Ozarks after dark. Sorenson, the lake’s finest official-unofficial ambassador and her husband, Chuck, began using it to plan their social outings long before she joined the thriving real estate firm.

The 10th annual edition of the publication will distributed just before Memorial Day weekend.

Founded in 2019, Swift and Co. is among the top real estate firms at the Lake of the Ozarks.

“The Get Down Guide gets placed in bars and restaurants—and all over the place,” said Sorenson, who also founded and is spearheading the Horsepower Hottie/Bikini Lives Matter lines of women’s apparel. “It’s free to the public and every restaurant and bar at the lake is in it. Most of the band schedules and venues are in it. Even for a local, it’s always useful. And for all the new people in our community, it’s essential.”

Measuring 5 x 7 inches, the printed version tends to end up in rental properties—and more. Though the Get Down Guide is widely distributed at popular restaurants and watering holes in the area, they will be available all summer long at the Swift and Co. office in Osage Beach.

In addition to stocking the 2022 Get Down Guide at its Osage Beach headquarters this summer, Swift and Co. will offer branded fans while they last.

“People put them in the boats and in their cars,” Sorenson said. “The Get Down Guide is essentially a month-by-month calendar that lists every event at the lake and where and when every band is scheduled to play. It’s an entertainment guide for the whole lake—and no business is better-connected and better-suited to make it happen than Swift and Co.”

Navigating Lake of the Ozarks nightlife is a whole lot easier with Swift and Co.’s Get Down Guide. Just ask Nikki and Chuck Sorenson, who recently joined Fish and Co. owner Dale Blue (left) on-stage for a little fun with Blue’s new ‘shot-guitar’ that Chuck Sorenson created.
