Countdown To Miami: C3800 Sport Cat No. 3 To Lead Mystic Display Trio

Though the latest Mystic Powerboats C3800 sport catamaran ultimately is headed to the DeLand, Fla., company’s Midwest Mystic Powerboats Powerboats dealership at the Lake of the Ozarks in Central Missouri, the 38-footer will make a four-day stop at the Mystic dock display at the Miami International Boat Show on Virginia Key next month. Hull No. 3, the boat is powered by a pair of Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboard engines, as were the company’s first two sport cat builds.

“The third C3800 has a really nice custom paintjob by Doug Harrell,” said Greg Weber, Mystic’s director of sales and dealer development. “It also has different interior than the other C3800s we’ve built,

“The second C3800 went to Ron Szolack, which means it’s for sale,” Weber continued, then laughed. “The first one went to Slug Hefner at the Lake of the Ozarks.”

As of late 2018, seven C3800s were “under contract,” according to Weber.
