Image Of The Week: CR Racing Meets Color-Matched Crew

Once-again sponsored by WIA Marine Insurance for the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout in Central Missouri, the CR Racing duo of Casey Boaz and Rob Unnerstall displayed their 32-foot Doug Wright catamaran in Wednesday evening’s Shootout on the Strip street exhibition..During the Waves And Wheels-sponsored event, the speedonthewater.com models dropped by the team’s display for a quick photo opportunity.

As it happened, the entire scene was as color-matched as it gets—dresses, jerseys and raceboat all share similar hues. We’d love to say we planned it that way, but that wouldn’t be true. Call it a happy photogenic coincidence.

Boaz and Unnerstall, who are Lake of the Ozarks homeowners, will pilot their 32-footer in demo “races” during the Shootout this weekend. Even in the absence of an offshore racing season, it’s been a busy year for Boaz. In July, he purchased Hering Propellers, which will move to a new facility adjacent to FJ Propeller Midwest—also owned by Boaz—in Osage Beach, Mo., early next year. And, of course, they plan to compete in the Performance Boat Center-backed Offshore At The Ozarks–Cat Edition race October 2-3.

Their color-matched crew, however, will likely be smaller.
