Image Of The Week: Anniversary Air

Married on New Year’s Eve 2015, Chris and Quinn LaMorte, a New Jersey-based couple who often run their 36-foot Skater Powerboats catamaran in the shadow of the Statue of Liberty, have a great way of ringing in the New Year and celebrating their anniversary. They head south for the Joey Gratton Memorial New Year’s Day Fun Run in Sarasota, Fla., which is home to their Skater during the winter.

The LaMortes arrived in Sarasota a few days before the event, which gave them enough time to participate in the Fort Myers Offshore New Year’s Fun Run as well as a couple of informal outings before the Gratton happening. As in years past, that included speedonthewater.com chief photographer Pete Boden’s New Year’s Eve photo shoot, which produced the image above.

That gave the LaMortes a chance to fly—so to speak—into their anniversary. And the entire speedonthewater.com team wishes them many, many more.
