Inside SOTW Mag—Boats Of Miami

About the only thing that would make this look at nine incredible boats from the 2019 Miami International Boat Show better would be performance test data and observations. Unfortunately the speedonthewater.com team wasn’t able to run all of the boat show models to gather that type of information.

Between the latest Cigarette-AMG collaboration, the all-new Wright Performance 420 and more, we found an assortment of noteworthy performance boats this year’ Miami International Boat Show. Photo courtesy/copyright Pete Boden/Shoot 2 Thrill Pix.

But in organizing a Friday morning photo shoot to showcase the boats in the best possible light, we did the next best thing. And as you’ll notice with each story, that was accomplished thanks to chief photographer Pete Boden and ace helicopter pilot Paul Barth of Camera Copters.

Of course, to augment all the pretty pictures we gathered plenty of information on each boat from its builder.

In this roundup, you’ll find familiar models such as the MTI 340X sport catamaran, the Mystic M4200 center console and the Nor-Tech 390 Sport center console. You also find Jet, the latest Outerlimits SC 46 catamaran. And you’ll get to explore two new offerings, the Technohull Omega 45 RIB and the Wright Performance 420 catamaran.

As you’ll soon discover, this year’s Miami happening didn’t lack for exciting hardware. Truth be told, it rarely does. And that makes the Miami International Boat Show the finest event of its kind.
