Inside SOTW Mag: MTI Family Ties

Two of the coolest  couples in the go-fast boating realm, Tennessee’s Mark and Britney Godsey and Michigan’s Burton and Yvette Kirsten have owned some high-profile rides during the years. Most recently, the Godseys had a 52-foot MTI canopied catamaran with Mercury Racing 1550/1350 engines—the cat has since sold—that continued their Project Mayhem naming theme. As for the Kirstens, they still own a canopied 46-foot Outerlimits catamaran powered by Mercury Racing 1350/1100 mills called Jet that started a naming theme.

Now both couples are the proud owners of new MTI 390X catamarans. Both cats are powered by Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines. Both are dressed in graphics packages created by Stephen Miles Design. And both Britney Godsey and Yvette Kirsten are destined to spend plenty of time behind the wheel of their new beauties. The Godseys took delivery of their 39-footer (above) just in time for the mid-March MTI Owners Fun Run in the Florida Keys.
