Nor-Tech Showing Center Consoles—Including 45-Footer—In Two Miami Venues

With the challenges of exhibiting in a new venue and the overall uncertainty regarding logistics—particularly efficient transportation for visitors—for the upcoming 2016 Miami International Boat Show (Feb. 11-15), Nor-Tech Hi-Performance Boats has opted to display its popular performance-oriented center consoles at two venues. In addition to having 34- and 39-footers at the Mercury Marine docks at the Miami Boat Show on Virginia Key, Nor-Tech will have the same lineup in the water at the Yachts Miami Beach event on Collins Avenue.

Nor-Tech will display 34-foot (above) and 39-foot center consoles at two separate exhibits in Miami next month.

While the Miami International Boat Show and Yachts Miami Beach (formerly the Miami Yacht and Brokerage Show) run concurrently, they are produced by two different organizations.

“We are going to be all over the place—that’s the plan,” said Terry Sobo, the director of sales and marketing for the North Fort Myers, Fla., company. “We’ve become pretty well-aligned with the yacht group these days, so exhibiting there made sense.”

Nor-Tech fans interested in seeing the builder’s first 45-foot center console will find the boat with its smaller siblings at the Mercury Marine docks at the Miami International Boat Show. The largest offering in the Nor-Tech center console line, the 45-footer is powered by five Mercury Racing Verado 400R outboard engines. Sobo said that the crew at Nor-Tech is working hard to have it ready in time to display.

“Like the quad Verado 400 boat we had in Miami last year, it’ll be ‘topless,’ ” he said.
