Outerlimits To Hold First Factory Fun Run

Owners of Outerlimits Offshore Powerboats custom V-bottoms and catamarans consider themselves family, which is why they tend to hang together at poker runs and other organized boating events. Now, with the inaugural Outerlimits Factory Fun Run August 9-10, they’ll all get to hit the water together near the company’s home in Bristol, R.I.

The run will take the Outerlimits V-bottom and catamaran fleet through Narragansett Bay to Block Island. But beyond building more camaraderie among Outerlimits owners, the event is—at least from the Outerlimits team standpoint—about showing appreciation for customer support and the company’s dedication to the long haul.

“Now that Outerlimits is stable and pointed in the right direction there’s no better time to host a factory fun run in our home waters,” said Jason Amaral, the company’s operations manager. “The main event will be a run that begins at Battleship Cove in Fall River, and we will make the run all the way to Block Island where we will have lunch.

“We will also have planned events Friday and Sunday,” he continued. “We have teamed up with a local Marina owner Mike Lund who owns Borden Light Marina, as well as an Outerlimits 42 legacy. The marina’s travel lift service, dockage and secure parking will be available all weekend.”

The current plan includes a casual open house event for a few hours at the factory, which will be open throughout the weekend.

“We really wanted to have this run to help reignite excitement in our brand, which has remained strong in challenging times thanks to our customers and our team,” said Amaral. “We want to erase any of the uncertainty that might have existed during the last few years. The company is very strong.

“This event will give the opportunity for customers to meet one another and get together like one large Outerlimits family,” he added. “It’s going to be amazing.”

Participants can RSVP via email or contact the factory at 401-253-7300.
