Day’s Boat Sales To Debut Fountain 39 NX At FPC Winter Poker Run

During the past few years, Bill Day, the owner of Day’s Boat Sales in Frankfort, Ky., has gotten a good taste of the performance boat market. Not only has he made a splash amongst the boating community that enjoys the surrounding lakes and rivers, including the popular Lake Cumberland, he’s become a loyal and grateful affiliate of the Florida Powerboat Club.

In fact, Day, who recently took delivery of the latest Fountain Powerboats 39 NX performance center console in Miami so he could demo the 39-footer powered by triple Mercury Racing 450R engines out of Haulover Marine Center and show it off at FPC events throughout the winter and spring, stepped up to sponsor next week’s Winter Poker Run (Jan. 22-24) to Faro Blanco Resort & Marina in Marathon, Fla.

Excited to be a part of the club’s season opener, Day said he can’t wait for people to get a closer look at the beautiful 39 NX, which he called the “most tricked out” Fountain he’s ordered.

“I’m going to be in Florida off and on for the next month or more—it sure beats hanging out in Kentucky where it’s 35 degrees and raining every day,” Day said. “Next week, my wife and I are going to be joined by our vice president and her husband, and our general sales manager and his better half. They haven’t done the Florida Powerboat Club events with me so they’re in for a real eye-opener.

“So far I’ve enjoyed trying to get my head around this market and I’ve met some incredible people in the industry thanks to the club’s events,” he continued. “I’m hopeful that by exposing the leaders of my team to this market, they’ll develop a better understanding of it as well. Day’s Boat Sales has deep-rooted familiarity with pontoon boats, bass boats and family boats. And, thanks to the latest and greatest from Fountain, we’re building a solid foundation in the performance boat market.”

Day added that he thinks potential customers are going to fall head over heels in love with the new 39 NX.

“Bill is a great guy who continues to get more involved in the FPC boating scene,” said Stu Jones, the club’s president and founder. “Along with our dedicated top-tier sponsors, Day’s Boat Sales has thrown out a nice little bonus sponsorship on the Winter Poker Run that will help us provide a nice aerial support gig on Saturday and shoot all of the boats.”

Day’s Boat Sales has given a few demo rides in the 39-footer out of Miami’s Haulover Marine Center.

Jones added that there are currently 25 boats signed up for poker run, which he called an ideal amount for this event. He also was excited to share the news that the Russian-based YouTube channel 808, which has more than 2.5 million followers, is going to be on hand covering the event that starts in Miami on Friday morning with a pleasurable jaunt to Gilbert’s Resort in Key Largo for a lavish lunch before continuing through the Upper Keys on the protected Florida Bay and intracoastal waterways and arriving in Marathon later in the afternoon.
