Image Of The Week: Transom Tuesday

When it comes to transoms, no photographer in the go-fast boating world has a better eye than speedonthewater.com’s Pete Boden. The guy simply has a knack for finding some of the finest transoms in high-performance powerboating, and every Tuesday one of those images graces the Speedonthewater Friends Facebook page.

Though Boden most often finds incredible transoms at the docks, he sometimes spies them on the water. Again, no photographer has a better eye for such things.

And no go-fast boating photographer on the planet has more opportunity. Even in this travel-challenged year, the Southwest Florida-based Boden captured events—and transoms—all over his home state, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina and Wisconsin. From the Joey Gratton Memorial New Year’s Day Fun Run in January to the Offshore Powerboat Association Crystal Coast World Championships last weekend—where he celebrated his birthday—he has been on the move all year.

Next up on Boden’s shooting schedule is the Florida Powerboat Club’s Key West Poker Run in early November and the Palatka Toys Tour in early December, where he’s a lock to bring back hundreds of great images.

And it’s likely that a few of those will showcase spectacular transoms.
