Midnight Express Boats Debuts New Six-Engine 52 Vitesse At Miami Show
Although Midnight Express Boats has eight boats on display at the Miami International Boat Show, which opened yesterday and runs through Sunday, the Miami-based company’s brand new 52 Vitesse luxury performance center console that is in the water at Sea Isle Marina is sure to get more attention than the rest of the models before the show closes.

Featuring a 13-foot, 8-inch beam and an abundance of both cabin and open deck space, the 23,500-pound 52-footer is not only going to stand out thanks to its matte gray paintjob, bright blue interior and sheer size, but also because of the six Mercury Racing 450R engines painted to match mounted on the transom.
“We are extremely excited about the completion of the first 52 Vitesse—it performed beyond expectations,” said Eric Glaser, owner of Midnight Express. “It is the largest, yet still the fastest of any 50-ish-foot center consoles. It has a true cabin with separate VIP stateroom as well as an aft bunk perfect for kids. We also incorporated a very large hydraulically actuated swim platform on the side of the boat, which is a first for a performance center console. It has a similar exterior layout from the 60’ Pied-A-Mer, which everyone has found extremely comfortable, and has a few optional variations. We are working to develop another layout with a closed transom as well.”

Glaser said the boat, which can be configured with four, five or six outboards and even inboard engines to meet any client’s needs, is capable of speeds in excess of 80 mph. He added that the boat feels unlike anything else on the water, with open-ocean capabilities that make destination options endless. And, thanks to infusion construction paired with select carbon-fiber sections, the 52’ Vitesse is agile and nimble yet rugged and refined, in turn creating an unparalleled ride.
The 52-footer includes an 800-gallon fuel capacity and a 100-gallon freshwater capacity. It also offers unrivaled luxury, comfort and convenience in the cabin and the cockpit. An optional aft summer kitchen is offered under the electric Sureshade and passengers can relax on any of the numerous sun loungers. For lazy days at the sandbar, boaters can fold out the hydraulically actuated swim platform, turn the bow into a dining table or convert it to a sun-lounging space and be able to make the 52 Vitesse the perfect layout for any adventure.
